I believe haiku can be the literary equivalent of a disposable pop song: fleeting, ephemeral, yet capable of leaving a shit-eating grin on one's face, under the right circumstances. The 5/7/5 beat pattern recalls the verse/chorus/verse structure of a radio-friendly hit tune.

So I guess this will be my personal "singles club"; a random assortment of poems in haiku meter. Typical subject matter includes (but is not limited to): superheroes, pulp adventure, intellectual wankery, geekiness, trans-cultural identity, and globalization.
